Former Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas has continued to make headlines in the wake of her February 2025 arrest.
Us Weekly confirmed that Pappas was arrested on February 27 following an alleged incident with her ex-husband, Stephen Stagliano, which apparently occurred when he came to pick up their daughter, Addison. (The former couple are also the parents of son Austin.)
Following her stint on season 4 of The Bachelorette in 2008, Pappas was engaged to Jesse Csincsak, but they split after less than one year together. She moved on with Stagliano, and they got married in October 2011. After 12 years of marriage, Pappas and Stagliano split in January 2023.
The aftermath of their divorce has continued to play out following Pappas’ arrest. Keep scrolling for a complete breakdown:
The Initial Incident
In court documents obtained by Us, Stagliano accused Pappas of being intoxicated when his mother went to pick up their son on the morning of February 26. Later that day, Stagliano went to pick up their daughter and allegedly “refused to leave” Pappas’ house, per Pappas’ account. She denied being an alcoholic and claimed that their daughter had a video detailing what happened.

Pappas claimed that Stagliano “forcefully shoved” her then called the police. She was arrested on a misdemeanor charge the following day after Stagliano pressed domestic violence charges.
Getting a Restraining Order
Pappas further shared her side of the story when filing for a restraining order against Stagliano on March 7.
“I would describe our coparenting as ‘parallel parenting,’ in that I handle the children when I have them, and [Stephen] does the same,” Pappas shared in court documents obtained by Us. “That of course is with the exception of extreme situations, wherein both [Stephen] and I will reach out to each other to let each other know what is going on with the children.”
Pappas Releases a Statement
“On behalf of our client, Deanna Pappas, we wish to address recent public speculation and clarify the current legal status of matters stemming from an incident involving her former spouse,” Pappas’ reps shared in a social media statement on April 3. “After a full investigation and review of video evidence, the assigned detective determined that Ms. Pappas was not the aggressor.
