What is EHD at UVA? ›

UVA EHD is a leader in leveraging evidence-based practices to establish and expand partnerships across the preK-16 education spectrum and community and regional health systems in Virginia.

University Nicknames

Although the terms “Cavaliers,” “Wahoos” and “'Hoos” are used almost interchangeably to refer to University teams and players, “Cavaliers” is more often used by the media, while “Wahoos” and “'Hoos” are frequently used by Virginia students and fans.

However, according to UVA's most recent common data set, over 90% of enrolled first-year students had a 4.0 GPA. Since the UVA average GPA, unweighted, is so high, you'll need to make sure your application is competitive. Working on getting a high GPA is important, especially since UVA highly values an applicant's GPA.

UVA EARLY ACCEPTANCE RATE

Of the 4,465 ED applications, 1,133 were accepted (25.38 percent).

The admission committee may admit, deny, or defer early applications. Deferral means that the application will be reviewed again during the Regular Decision phase of the admission process. If deferred, we ask that the student or counselor send updated midyear grades at soon as they are available.

“A”, “B”, “C”, and “D” represent passing grades in order from the highest to the lowest. Passing grades may also be recorded with a plus or minus. “F” represents failure. The measure of academic success is expressed in a grade point average.
